The report by CBS Chicago (2013) notes that “According to some of the information gathered, gang members intend to coax police officers into chasing them into alleys or gangways. Once inside, other gang members would shoot the officers.” This suggests that when a criminal justice officer has been targeted by a gang member then it should be taken seriously by his team so that he can be saved. Gang members can be dangerous and when they identify a police officer as their target, the department should provide maximum security to that officer and at the same time, they should work on capturing the gang members so that they can be incarcerated.
